The Jurong East area of Singapore is set to undergo a major transformation with news of the impending closure of JCube Mall. The mall, which is owned and operated by CapitaLand Development (CLD), will close its doors on August 7, 2023, in order to make way for a new mixed-use development named JCube Residence.
The redevelopment of JCube Mall is part of CapitaLand’s larger strategy to transform Singapore’s western region, which includes the neighbouring areas of Jurong East and Jurong West. The new mixed-use development will offer a range of residential, commercial and retail space. According to the developer, it is targeted for completion in 2027.
